Introducing the CACA
by Michael Applebaum, MD, JD, FCLM
This is the formal introduction of the Confused and Confounded Award.
The CACA is awarded to anything having to do with fitness that I do not understand. It confuses and confounds me.
So the CACA is all about what I do not get. It has nothing to do with the recipient.
It will be awarded irregularly, as in "on no particular schedule." Therefore, if someone or something fails to receive a CACA, it does not mean that I understand it.
The CACA is also open to nominations from the public. If there is something that you see having to do with fitness that just seems to make little or no sense to you, let me know about it. If I can figure it out, I will try to get in touch with you to explain it. If I cannot make sense of it, I will consider it for a CACA.
Below is a list of CACA winners to date:
The Rogues' Gallery
The Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005
David L. Katz, MD - Associate Professor Adjunct in Public Health Practice at the Yale School of Public Health
