This image is a cross-section through the fetal brain. This is an image of the fetal heart.   All 4 chambers can be seen. The fetal stomach is the structure located between 12 o'clock and 2 o'clock in the image.  It appears as a black hole and is marked with an "*".

The fetal kidneys are seen on either side of the spine with their blood vessels leading to them. The fetal spine is seen as two parallel white lines at the top of the image. The loops of the umbilical cord are seen.  In this image, the two red lines to the right are the arteries and the one blue line represents the single umbilical vein.

Approximately 3 o'clock in the image are two colored lines which represent the umbilical vessels.  They can be seen entering the fetal abdomen.  This is the location of the umbilicus or "belly button." This is am image of the fetal penis and scrotum.  An "*" is located just to the right of the penis.  The scrotum is located to the left of the penis.
