|This is an ultrasound image through the fetal brain. Essentially, the Biparietal diameter is measured from one side of the head to the other.||The femur, or thigh bone, is the white structure located in the center of the image. Its length is measured from one end to the other.||The abdominal circumference is shown by the white dots surrounding the structure in the middle of the image. The stomach is the black area located between the 12:00 and 2:00 positions. The "comma-shaped" below and to the right of the stomach is a portion of the umbilical vein.|
