Michael Applebaum is a medical doctor (M.D.).  In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Applebaum is the only medical doctor to hold certifications from the International Sports Sciences Association in all of the following areas of specialization:

• Certified Fitness Trainer  

• Master of Fitness Sciences

• Certified Youth Fitness Trainer

• Certified Endurance Fitness Trainer

• Certified Specialist in Performance Nutrition

• Certified Specialist in Fitness for Older Adults

All programs include a consultation with Dr. Applebaum.  All or a portion of the cost of the programs may be tax deductible.  According to the Internal Revenue Service: 

"You can include in medical expenses the cost of a weight-loss program undertaken at a physician's direction to treat an existing disease (such as heart disease). But you cannot include the cost of a weight-loss program if the purpose of the weight control is to maintain your general good health."
